Which of these are the same medication?  They are all capsules, half red, half green.  One is clearly shorter than the rest but what about the other three?  If you are not 100% sure about your medications, especially if you just received new medications from your doctor or were recently discharged from hospital, bring all your medications to your local Pharmacy4Less store.  The pharmacist can perform a MedsCheck with you.  They will go through your medications with you and help you manage your medications.

Who needs a MedsCheck

The pharmacist can help anyone and everyone with their medications.  However, to qualify for a free MedsCheck, you must either be:

  • Taking 5 or more medications,
  • Had a recent medical event or diagnosis that may increase the risk of medication misadventure,
  • Starting diabetes therapy, or
  • Recently started metformin

Benefits of a MedsCheck

Going through your medications with your pharmacist in a MedsCheck aims to:

  1. Detect any problems you may be having with your medications
  2. Help increase your knowledge about your medications including how to use them, how to store them and what the medication is for
  3. Improve your overall health and medication management

5 things to bring

Bring all your new and old medications and prescriptions and your medication chart if you received one from the hospital.  This will help the pharmacist better perform the MedsCheck.  You can also bring your over-the-counter medications, vitamins and supplements.

  2. New and old prescriptions
  3. Over-the-counter medications
