Coloxyl 120MG 100 Tablets

Coloxyl 120mg is a regular strength stool softener to help relieve mild, persistent constipation.

Coloxyl 120mg increases fluid in the stool & gradually restores regularity over 1 to 3 days.

Constipation is an extremely common problem that most people will experience at some point in their lifetime. It is more common in the elderly, pregnant women and children, especially during toilet training.

The causes of constipation vary as a number of lifestyle factors contribute. Common lifestyle factors include:

- Low fluid or fibre intake

- Traveling

- Ignoring the need to go

- Lack of regular exercise

- Changes in routine or diet

- Some medications

Symptoms of constipation:

- Dry, hard stools that are difficult to pass

- Needing to open bowels less often

- A feeling that the bowel hasn’t emptied properly after a bowel movement

- Straining when passing a bowel movement

- Abdominal cramps

- A bloated abdomen

Directions for use:

For adults and children 12 years and over – Take two tablets (240mg) once daily after the evening meal.

Ingredients:

Docusate sodium 120mg, sodium benzoate and starch – wheat (gluten).

Warnings:

Not recommended for children under the age of 12. Prolonged use is not recommended and may lead to dependence or serious bowel problems. Do not take this product if you are presently taking a prescription drug or mineral oil.
