How Gaviscon Original Works
Gaviscon works by forming a protective barrier on top of the stomach contents soon after it has made contact with the stomach acid. This acts a strong physical barrier and helps to keep stomach contents in the stomach where they belong and not in the food pipe where they hurt.
Directions
Take as required after meals and before going to bed, up to 4 times a day or as directed. Shake well before use.
Adults and children over 12 years: 10-20mL
Children 6-12 years: 5-10mL
Not recommended for children under 6 years.
Active Ingredients
Each 10mL dose contains 500mg sodium alginate, 267mg sodium bicarbonate and 160mg calcium carbonate.
